About Wanderloosed

The cultivation of virtues as diverse as charity (Twain), modesty (Flaubert) and willful self-deception (Kierkegaard) has been attributed to travel. I’m more with Solzhenitsyn: “Own only what you can always carry with you: know languages, know countries, know people. Let your memory be your travel bag.”*

Whatever it is that you hope to achieve through your wanderings around this marvelous planet that we share, I hope Wanderloosed will be of some help along the way.

Thanks for visiting!

*My boss brought this quote to my attention, exclaiming, “This is YOU!” I’m not nearly clever enough to have unearthed any Solzhenitsyn on my own. In fact, I had to spellcheck his name three times just now.
